The Swift Current Broncos Hockey Club have announced the 27-player opening weekend roster for the 2017-18 Western Hockey League season. The roster consists of 16 forwards, nine defencemen and two goaltenders including 17 players returning from last year’s squad.

As the Broncos prepare to open their 51st season in franchise history in Saskatoon against the East Division rival Saskatoon Blades, all but two players have returned from NHL camps. Lane Pederson (Arizona Coyotes) and Max Lajoie (Ottawa Senators) have not returned and could very well begin their seasons in the American Hockey League.

Four 1997-borns include: Conner Chaulk, Arthur Miller, Logan Flodell and Glenn Gawdin.
