Broncos Re-Assign Gonek

Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, announced that the club has re-assigned defenceman, Zack Gonek

Gonek has been re-assigned to the St. Albert Raiders of the AMHL.  He was selected by the Broncos in the 1st round (13th overall) in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.  The 6’1”, 193-pound product of St. Albert, AB appeared in five pre-season games with the Broncos where he registered 13 penalty minutes.  Last season, Gonek recorded 21 points (10-11-21) and 91 penalty minutes in 31 games played with the St. Albert Flyers of the AMMHL.

Even though we would have liked to see Zack make it with the Broncos, we are most happy to have him as a member of our St. Albert Raider mmidget AAA hockey club where he will develope for next year
