Calvin Spencer Dealt to Vancouver Giants
Darwin Knelsen

Swift Current, SK – The Swift Current Broncos have traded 20-year-old forward Calvin Spencer to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a conditional ninth round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

With the acquisitions of Jordan Papirny and Ryley Lindgren in separate deals, the Broncos were required to move a 20-year-old per league rules as only three 20-year olds are allowed on a WHL roster.

We’d like to thank Calvin for being a leader to this team on and off the ice,” said Director of Player Personnel Manny Viveiros. “He was a terrific role model to our younger players and we wish him nothing but the best.”

Swift Current hosts the Kootenay ICE to close out a four-game home stand on Wednesday, December 11th at the Credit Union i-Plex. Puck drop is at 7:00pm CT.

Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the Stable, calling 306-773-1509 or online at tickets.scbroncos.com.
