General Manager & Head Coach

MARK LAMB

Mark Lamb is the  sixth Head Coach in Swift Current Broncos history.

Lamb has been the General Manager and Head Coach for the Broncos for two complete seasons.  Prior to his time in Swift Current, the Cadillac, SK product spent seven years as an assistant coach in the National Hockey League (six of those years spent with the Dallas Stars, one with the Edmonton Oilers).  With a lengthy professional hockey career under his belt as well, (he started his pro-career drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 4th round, 72nd overall) Lamb played for the Flames, Detroit Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers (1990 Stanley Cup Champions), Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, and Montreal Canadiens.

Assistant General Manager & Director of Player Personnel

JAMIE PORTER

Jamie Porter hails from Edmonton, AB and just completed his second season as Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel with the Broncos. 

Prior to his promotion to Assistant GM Jamie was the team’s head scout since 2006.  He started with the club in 2003 as a scout.  Jamie oversees a scouting staff of 12.  Prior to working with the Broncos, Jamie was an assistant coach in the AJHL with the St. Albert Saints.  In Jamie’s first bantam draft as the head scout he selected Cody Eakin with the first pick.

JAMIE LEBLANC

Jamie LeBlanc, “Butter”, completed his seventh season with the Broncos.

It is his second stint as the trainer after taking time to help start his fitness centre in Swift Current.  Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Jamie started his career as the trainer for the Brampton Battalion of the OHL in their inaugural season.  In 2001 he moved west to become the trainer of the Broncos until 2005.  After a hiatus he returned to the club in 2009.  Butter was a member of Team WHL’s training staff at the 2011 Subway Super Series and Team West’s training staff at the 2005 & 2009 World Under-17 Challenge, along with the 2009 Western Canada Under-16 Challenge Cup

Goaltending Consultant

KEVIN SWANSON

Kevin Swanson was born in Red Deer, AB but currently resides in Calgary where he owns GDI, a goaltender development program.  

Swanson spent four seasons in the WHL splitting time between Prince George and Kelowna.  Kevin had a brief pro-career playing 24 games in the ECHL with Columbia and one game with Manitoba of the AHL.
