Swift Current, SK: The Swift Current Broncos Hockey Club in conjunction with the City of Swift Current have announced Bronco week for the week of Feb 13th – Feb. 19th.

“I encourage the entire community to rally around the Broncos and show our support,” said Swift Current Mayor Denis Perrault. “This year’s team is incredibly exciting to watch, and it would great to see a packed i-Plex for every home game as they make their push for the playoffs!”

The Swift Current Broncos have three home games that week and continue to push to the playoffs with critical home contests against the Regina Pats on Wednesday, February 15th, the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, February 17th and the Everett Silvertips on Saturday, February 18th. All games are scheduled for 7:00pm CT.

“We are thrilled to have the city pronounce Bronco week,” said Director of Business Operations, Dianne Sletten. “Together, we encourage everybody to proudly wear their Bronco gear throughout the week and come out to the rink as the team continues their playoff push.”

The SPCA will be sponsoring the game on Feb. 15th and encourage fans to bring donations of dry pet food along with canned food items, treats, toys and cleaning supplies to “Fill the Pets” and support the Swift Current SPCA.

The Prairie Post will be the game night sponsor on Feb. 17th and it is also Country Thunder Jamboree night in which fans can have a chance to win two weekend passes to the event hosted in Craven, SK in the summer. The Broncos will also have Happy Hour all night long with $5 drinks and appetizers.

On Saturday, February 18th, the Swift Current 57’s are the game night sponsor and a special pre-game ceremony will occur, honouring the parents and billet families of our 2016-17 Swift Current Broncos players. League partners B.C. Tree Fruits and Ashley Furniture will be present with various giveaways and promotions. Finally, the 50/50 will open at $5,000.

“This will definitely be a fun week with lots of entertainment in store,” said Communications and Game Day Manager Brad Trojan. “With three quality opponents coming in to town that week, we’re bound to see some terrific hockey and on top of all the promotions we’ll have occurring, the i-Plex will certainly be rocking.”
