Broncos add forward, defenceman in 2022 WHL U.S. Priority Draft

Swift Current, Sask. – The 2022 WHL U.S. Priority Draft was held Wednesday morning with the Broncos holding the 12th and 33rd overall selections. The Broncos selected forward Tyson Ulmer and defenceman Lincoln Kuehne with those two picks respectively.

Ulmer, from Grand Forks, North Dakota, played the majority of the season with Team North Dakota of the 14U AAA ranks, scoring 17 points (7-10-17) in 17 games. The right-shooting forward is the grandson of long-time Broncos scout Dennis Ulmer.

Kuehne, from Fargo, North Dakota, also spent the majority of his season with Team North Dakota 14U AAA in 2021-22, scoring nine points (3-6-9) in 17 games played. The 6’0’’, 155-pound defenceman is a right-handed shot.

The Broncos are now set for the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft Thursday morning, with their first pick coming at fifth overall.
