Broncos Make Deal with Thunderbirds

Swift Current Broncos General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has acquired forwards Connor Sanvido and Andrew Johnson from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

Sanvido, the 5’10”, 190-pound product of Maple Ridge, BC tallied 29 points (15-14-29) and 40 penalty minutes in 72 games played with the Seattle Thunderbirds last season.  The 1993-born forward has appeared in 184 WHL career games where he has recorded 53 points (26-27-53) and 76 penalty minutes.  Sanvido was selected by Seattle in the 1st round, 14th overall, of the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.

Johnson, the 5’10”, 175-pound Saskatoon, SK native split the 2012-13 season between the Moose Jaw Warriors and Seattle Thunderbirds, where tallied a combined 23 points (11-12-23) in 72 games played.  He was selected by the Warriors in the 2nd round, 23rd overall, of the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
